HOW TO ASSIGN COMPANY CODE TO COMPANY

How to assign company code to company

Now we have to assign company to company code. In this configuration we have to assign the company code to which we want to include the group accounting to a company. Before that we have to create company and company code.

PATH:

STEP 1

Enter SPRO in the command field

STEP 2

Select SAP Reference IMG

                

STEP3

Enterprise structure >> assignment >> financial accounting >> assign company
code to company

STEP 4

Select position button

STEP 5

Enter  your company code

Press continue /enter button 

STEP 6

Now assign company code to company

Select the save button and save in TR.
 

Questions related to:

1. Is assigning of company code to company is mandatory?
Yes, it is mandatory to assigning of company code to company, because it is the link between company code and company. 

2. Can we operate company without assigning company code to it?
No, we can't operate anything without assigning company code to company, because we are not able to know the financial statement and reporting of the particular company code. So, we have to assign it to the company.
